A Message to Fathers Raising Daughters
Raising a daughter is a task like no other. Fathers always hear that their little daughters will have them wrapped around their finger. You will do anything for them.
I am very lucky because I was able to watch my mother and father raise two girls. They raised their daughters to be strong and stand up for what they believed in. They made sure to never break their sprits. It is very important to make sure that a child’s spirit is never broken. Parents play a huge role in the mental developmental process of children.
As a stay at home father I have spent long periods of time with my children alone and have had to deal with all types of situations. When I was left alone with my daughter for the first time, I was in shock. I spent 14 months alone with my son, but all of the sudden I was afraid to change a diaper. I didn’t want to do it, but there was no way that I was going to allow her to walk around the house with a saggy diaper. After overcoming my fear of the little girl zone there emerged several new obstacles that were different from raising a son. These are my tips based on what I have learned so far:
1) Treat your children fairly
My son was rather easy and very calm. My daughter was always very excited and full of energy. She was always trying to keep up with her brother. Since she is younger than her brother she is always in a competitive mode. No matter what the situation is even to this day my daughter is always trying to get praise and beat out her brother in any situation. After hearing all of the comments of how she was going to control my feelings and that I was going to treat her differently then her brother, I made a conscious decision to make sure that I raised them fair and treated them the same way.
2) Give them the attention they need
Children need a father’s attention, but especially daughters. As fathers, our job is to raise children that are productive and can offer something to society. As a father raising a daughter I have taken the approach to show my daughter what it is like to be around a man that treats women with respect. I hope that this will show her how she should be treated by any other man that may enter her life.
3) Treat your wife with respect
This may sound rather simple but this approach is very important. I make sure that I treat my wife with respect in front of both my son and daughter so that my son knows how important it is to respect woman, this also demonstrates to my daughter how a man should treat her in the future. Our current society is still disrespectful to women. It is shown in our movies, music, advertisements, and many other aspects of our society. It is important to offer our children, especially daughters, positive images of women in society.
4) Find role models
My daughter is lucky that she has the opportunity to see such a positive woman like her mother in her life. My wife is a breadwinner, a scholar, a nurse, and to most a feminist. All of these traits have helped my daughter develop into a strong little girl due to roles being reversed in a household. But it is also important for the negative images of women to be counteracted by positive images of women. For example most men enjoy watching sports, if your daughter is in the room and the opportunity is available let your daughter watch women playing sports. My daughter enjoys watching women playing soccer with me. The first time she watched women playing she was happy and sat down on the couch and watched the whole game. This was one of the best moments that I have experienced this summer with my daughter.
5) Teach your daughter to respect herself
Do not force her to become a sex object by letting her run around town in her two-piece bikini, and cover her face in make-up in the early stages of her life. This only helps promote the sex image that the media is dependent on. Fathers, we are raising the women of the future and it is important that they have the tools necessary to find men that will respect them and love them.
So in short fathers- treat your daughter like she is the love of your life. Cherish her and allow her to be who she is. If we love them like they should be loved then we can help them grow into the strong women we know they can be.

A Real Patriot
So what is a Patriot? A patriot is an individual that supports and loves the country they live in. So with recent talks of patriotism and the word “patriot” being thrown around like a baseball, I think we need to take a look at the true meaning of what it is to be a patriot.
I am a patriot to the fullest extent. I love American but I often call out some of its flaws so that it can become a better country. For example, we love our children and when they do something wrong we discipline them and try to change their behavior because of love not hate. Those that think people who speak out against the war are not patriots and need to re-read the definition.
Are the members of the Tea Party patriots? Yes. Are the members of the Coffee Party patriots? Yes. It is important to understand that patriots stand up and fight for their country. But patriots also have the responsibility to call their country out when necessary. We have the right to stand up and fight for our right to bear arms. We have the right to support or not support gay marriage. Even though opinions may collide, patriots fight for their side of the issues.
The new patriots ride in on their laptops and shoot hollow words at the people. Real patriots tell the truth and separate opinions. Real patriots buy American if possible and affordable. Real patriots work to build a strong nation not separate and divide individuals within these borders. I love my country, I love that I have the opportunity to try and achieve my dreams. But I have seen the rights that I enjoyed as a child taken away and not available for me as an adult.
I plan to continue and be a patriot and speak out about what I think is wrong and how we can become a better country. When I talk bad about the war it is because I am a patriot and do not want to watch young men and women die for false freedoms. I have been a victim of police profiling and racist discrimination, but I also have managed to use those situations to make myself stronger.
Patriots, it is our time to stand up and take our country back. We are being overtaxed, undereducated, underemployed, and fed genetically modified foods. It is our job to inform the public. I want the rights of Americans re-instated. I want the Patriotic-Act to be thrown out and burned. Citizens of

Sherrod and the Scam of Destruction
The battle of race will always continue to be a horrendous fight in this country. No matter how much we try to say that it will be eradicated or disappear the wounds only seem to become deeper and often infected. There are so many organizations that act is if the want to help deal with the issue but only drop the ball and become worse than the enemy they are supposed to be fighting.
These organizations know that their behaviors should not be included in their tactics to support their agenda. An organization that is moving towards equality should understand that equality can not be created by a board of directors or executives. Equality can only be developed by those that depend on grass root philosophies. Organizations that are dependent on any sort of hierarchy defeat the purpose of equality. The movement towards equality should be fluent and smooth. An increase in violence and tension should be expected. These threats can easily be identified and should be prepared for in advance.
Equality is something that can not be reached in a country that was dependent on violence, control of media, and mind manipulation to move their agenda forward. The past few weeks have been racially motivated to a level that I have not witnessed since the Rodney King situation in the 90’s. But instead of a riot in the streets, the media has thrown rocks and have hijacked the minds of the people. Equality is false, like the word Freedom. No matter how hard these organizations try to denounce their racist agenda they often stumble over their own words.
The Tea Party has final been put in the spotlight and are being shown for what they are, racist old white people. Now that an African American is the face of the country even though his strings are still being pulled by the economic elitist of the world the real issues are still being avoided. White Americans have an approval rating of 37% on Obama as a president, now this is according to CNN. This number is considerably higher than I thought but only supports my thesis that a solution to fixing racism in
The NAACP used their power to get the leader of the Tea Party fired. After the NAACP forced the leader of the Tea Party out they decided that it was their turn to fire back at the NAACP and did. Even though this move can be considered as an epic fail, it still shows the power that whites have in
The NAACP is a joke, they remind me of a group of house Negroes that want to dress up and play master. They have not helped move the black agenda forward at all. They would rather protect their name instead of investigating the facts. Sherrod speech was presented in front of them. The Tea Party blogger attacked the wrong person Sherrod did not even work for the NAACP; she was just speaking to them. Epic fail Mr. Blogger attack the NAACP not a woman that is presenting a speech and expressing how she overcame racism to help someone. This is like locking up a black man for jaywalking because he was helping an old white women walking down the street and the light became red.
Conservative or not I can not allow for racist organizations to represent me and my views. See I am smarter than the house Negro that continues to vote for the democrats because I think that they want to help me out. If I reach the mountain tops there is no reason for me to hand out money to those that do not want to change. If blacks would rather buy a pair of Jordan’s and some FUBU pants instead of adding that money to rent then that is their fault for being stuck in the projects and the same for those white folks in trailers across America.
Race will always be a factor in
The words “We The People” is a very important line that often seems to be forgotten. It is not just about a particular sub-culture or group of people here in
Welcome!
Welcome to Winters Writes- Buckle up and get ready for the ride of your life! You will be exposed to the thoughts of a black conservative that is not scared to talk about the hard issues, and take on racism head first. I will take you on a journey through politics, education, the hood, the drug war, and anything else that I feel you should be informed about. There is always something to write about and this is not a FOX news approach. We live in a time that everyone is able to voice their opinions and present their agenda to the people. I have an agenda, and it is rather simple: Wake people the fuck up!
My grandmother would have disapproved of that sort of language but I think that it is necessary and the shock value probably almost made you spit out your coffee. Don't worry, you have enough time to catch your breath and wipe off the coffee, but be careful to not smear the screen because the next few lines are rather important.
So I am a black conservative, that is married to a white woman, and raising two kids in the middle of
The Tea Party, The New Black Panthers, Conservatives, Liberals, Socialist, The Klan, media, athletes, corporations, you are all on my list of pawns that play a role to keep the people separated.
