My American Experience

I have lived in many places in this United States of Crazies. I was trapped with Texas for seven years. The dude confused the hell out of me. I understood that he held his pants up with the black book, but boy did he live a sinful life. He always had to be told to clean up his room. “Don’t mess with Texas”- of course most people think that is because he is such a badass, but it is exactly the opposite.

There is nothing like watching a redneck (they like that title), spitting his chew out the window while you are all waiting in the extreme heat for the light to change. Of course everything is cheap- who would pay top dollar to enjoy the flames of hell- would you?

Cockroaches are often referred to as “water bugs”.  June bugs fly directly into the light over and over again and they deny evolution? But I did enjoy stepping on these almost prehistoric creatures- squash and scrape that was my routine. Spiders were often bigger than most birds, and the fire ants that came from the banana boats really needed to be nuked.  I am sure that Texas will return, they have that fighter’s spirit out there- I give them that.

Not everything in Texas was, or is, bad. I did enjoy their style of BBQ. There is nothing like watching a high school football game under the lights, of course, right next to a natural gas rig that is spewing out toxic fumes making everyone in the town sick.  But they are often too drunk to realize that the EPA and the Railroad Commission could care less if they are slowly dying. I watched one of the most beautiful buildings for gladiators ever created being built as they snatched the land from people that didn’t want to move but were handed some nickels and dimes and told to find a new home. But I did get to BOOOOOOOOOOO Bush with his “leave every child behind” philosophies.

When they say Texas is a whole different country- they really mean it. If you would like to lease land, feed deer tiny bits of most likely fake corn, then sit in a stand and kill Bambi- that is the place for you. If you would like to enter a Church, praise God while you look at a Confederate flag on the arm of a group of so-called children of God, then that is the place for you. If being racially profiled is your gig- he is waiting for you.

I also lived in Arizona for a few years. There is nothing like living in a fucking oven surrounding by the most beautiful rock formations ever. I was a college student along with my girlfriend (now wife). This was the first time that my future wife lived outside of California. She was surprised by the amount of white people that she saw (she is white). She also thought it was odd that dressing up like you were going to the club was not necessary when only going shopping- darn Californians.

We were both chased by some Latinos- who must have thought some sort of revolution was taking place and I was on the wrong side. (No, really- physically chased.)  We met a lesbian couple that seemed to hate white people… unless they needed some sugar or a ride somewhere. The mall seemed to be the best place to get into a fight, along with a bar filled with Native Americans that escaped the Reservations and wanted to kidnap my girlfriend and sell me back to my masters or skin me.   I couldn’t figure it out- but we got out of there.

I still return to Arizona at times. I have a lot of friends that still live there. They have a nice stadium, the heat is hotter than anything I have ever been in, and the women still wear no clothes. They don’t care if they are size 2 or 80- they are going to wear a bikini and you will see it all. Personally I believe that Arizona is nothing more than a suburb of LA. If you can’t afford Cali- Arizona will welcome you, along with some other individuals hiding from something or someone.

I also lived in Oregon- twice. I really enjoyed that place. It was a mixture of California and living in a rain forest. I would often pray for the sun, but it would never show up long enough. He would poke through the clouds tease you and then allow for the clouds to continue to piss on you again.

I had a great time, being chased by cowboys- (things always like chasing me- or I like running when I calculate the odds are not in my favor). Drugs could be found everywhere, no one was from Oregon but the old people, and the young people that lived there seemed to have more experience with drugs than any kid in the inner city. The place was beautiful, but I had to escape the rain. I could not take it anymore. Plus all of the Californians that I didn’t like were all moving there.

Why am I telling you all of these random experiences that I have had in different states? Because from my experience I can understand this disconnect and division in our country- (back to politics).

Most people do not leave their state or even their hometown for that matter. The bubbles that we live in protect us from reality. The reality that all of our experiences are different is something that is hard for some to even comprehend. Of course Texas has a huge respect and admiration for guns and saving babies before they are born, but turning around and killing them when they are adults. Either by natural gas wells, or the prison system. Arizona is nothing but a gun range in the middle of the desert that is really a sibling of Los Angeles. Oregon is beautiful, the best place to read a book, climb a mountain, and drink coffee- all at the same time.

But returning to my bubble of California had to be one of the best choices that I have made. I would rather raise my children in a state that is open minded, falling into the ocean, too dumb to figure out that they need high-speed rail, the smell of reefer everywhere, the land often shakes but at least my stuff in Texas will not end up in Oklahoma, religion seems optional, like clothes on any day in the city, everything is expensive, new stadium is on its way, and if you think it- they will outsource to get it built.

I love the United States, but I hate the brainwashing and manipulation of the citizens. All of our bubbles keep us safe- but they do pop, and when they do- RUN, sure you might not find a place that is like the one you left. They all have good and bad, enjoy the good, and unfriend the bad. I have only lived in four states, I wish I could have lived in more. But my experiences have offered me a better insight on why the United States has been simplified to coloring by numbers, either red or blue- well I’m coloring with green- hey that’s my crayon.

If they say that it’s for terrorism, then it's ok- that is how we live today...

If they say that it’s for terrorism, then it's ok- that is how we live today. It is a shame to see a company like Verizon forced to hand over tons of data. What happened to Big Business sticking it to the Government? Like not paying taxes, hiring illegals- and shipping jobs overseas?

Yeah, fuck you America- (in my Big Business voice).

Nope- they did a 360 degree turn on this one. According to Obama back in 2007, our civil liberties were the most important thing on his agenda. I am against these sorts of actions happening in our country for several reasons.

One, I believe in the people, but I do not think that a majority of people are informed enough to understand how important all this information is and what can be done with it.

And secondly, I do not trust our government.  They have a history of abusing power.

Maybe we should all have thought about it before we accepted the internet into our homes- nothing but a military technology packaged up for civilians.

I’m not against all this because I have “something to hide”- But rather, because this is the opposite of freedom.  People are in an uproar over keeping their guns and repealing health care- but why the fuck aren’t they screaming to get rid of the PATRIOT ACT.

Why is collecting data so important for our government? Because the government can use this data to do a lot of things they shouldn’t do.  For example, they can gather information to identify and track certain groups of individuals that might share the same belief.  Maybe…. Track their location using GPS data, and their calls, and where they gather.  Doesn’t sound too bad if you are thinking “terrorist”, right?  But replace “terrorist” with something else- anything.  Replace it with “Civil rights activist” or “Jew” or “Someone who doesn’t think like us”.  Scary?

This is too much.  That is way too much information for the government to have on its citizens. The common position “I am doing nothing wrong, so who cares if they track me” is nothing more than apathy and ignorance.

I have seen what happens to organizations that stand out and really try to make change-  they get roadblocked. I have seen what happens to individuals like Martin Luther King, and JFK.  Assonated- for their beliefs, their thoughts, and letting people know there is a choice.

We have a choice- here right now. The next few years will be a huge turning point in our lives. Data will become an even bigger business than it is already is and more laws are going to be created to protect and use that data in anyway a company or government sees fit.

While we sit on these digital soapboxes and share our lives with the world, we are being watched.

I know there are some of you that believe that there will be some revolution- sorry to be real with you- it isn’t coming. WE the People could not overthrow our Government.

What did our government do with the data that they collected when Russia rang the phone about the Boston Bomber? They dropped the ball- they did not react and allowed a suspected terrorist to conduct a terrorist act.

I understand that we have to sacrifice some of our privacy- things that are not really private. Like when I am walking down the street in front of cameras- attending a sports event- or even shopping at the mall. They can watch me.

But collecting all of this data and storing it “just in case” is not a good reason to take away our rights. To some, this is something that should be done in the name of safety.

But what if freedom of expression became something that was connected to terrorism.  It’s happening all over the world.  Is that acceptable? What if every child was forced to wear a name tag that had a GPS in it? Is that acceptable?

My point is simple- get informed and stay informed. Of course America is safer. But I do not think that it is because personal data has been collected and stored.

And while I am writing this, we just got word that the Government is now tapping into 9 Internet companies. Microsoft, PalTalk, YouTube, AOL, Yahoo, Google, Apple, Skype, and Facebook.  They are providing video, text, audio- pretty much anything you do on your computer.  So now the NSA is all in our shit-

Yeah they know how many guns that you have if you took a picture and placed it online- that little teeny bopper site that you are following- now they have placed you in a category with other people engaging in the same behavior.

There is no reason for these types of actions. I was told once by someone that we were close to tyranny- shit, I think I am staring at it directly in the eyes…

OBEY

We are taught to OBEY. No matter what subgroup of the world we decide to become involved with, there are rules. Rules that force us how to think, dress, or simply OBEY.

Can such obedience be the reason our society is facing failure? Can this obedience only compound the problems we face? Obedience is important because it makes sure that there are no riots in the streets and that those in power remain in power.

As long as the individual OBEYS their party and falls in line, things remain the same. For example, a republican that hugs Obama and thanks him for working together during Sandy is not being obedient. He has challenged the structure and is now a sacrificial lamb for the party. Obedience even if it means failure seems to be the mantra in today's society.

My pants must sag to the ground because I must OBEY the culture.  I must stand in line to have the next Apple product and pledge my obedience. I must listen to a certain type of music in order to fulfill my obedience.

Are we not capable enough to figure out that obedience has left us dull? It has started wars over the same figure just with a different name. Millions of lives have been erased and vanished because someone chose to OBEY.

If we speak against the actions of our government and no longer OBEY will we be corralled in trains and sent to some prison camp? There are some that believe that this is so, but they forget that WE THE PEOPLE are the real driving force of this country, not those that we give credence to.

After we have been broken down by 12 years of mandated brainwashing, to only stumble into our first class of college one would think we could break free. But they program us even further. It is not until one becomes a master of their craft that they can break free from the chains of imperialism that still colonizes the mind.

We OBEY the new trends as they are ushered in by the media conglomerates. We OBEY trashy talk shows while we sleep around with so many people that a paternity test is needed. We OBEY social media while we check updates and make posts behind the wheel, putting others’ lives in jeopardy.

But this obedience is destroying us. It is dividing and eliminating free thought. Our free will has already been shackled, but will our ability to decide be lost as well?

My Block

My block is slightly curved, because all of the cul-de-sacs were taken. But my block is the new America.

To my left is a Latino family that cooks the best carne asada that I have ever tasted.

Next door to them is a white family that home-school their children. They run up and down the street in their bare-feet tossing rocks at one another.

On my right is a family from Fiji that has trained me to love the smell of curry.  Their son calls me “Uncle”- even when we aren't on our block.

Directly across the street is another Latino family that has a gardener do their lawn twice a month.

On my block, there is an old Asian man that, in the early morning hours, steals Recyclables.  But he always smiles and waves. I reply with a wave as he pedals away on his ten-speed.

My block has a black family on the end of the street that park their car so close to the stop sign you have to drive out extra far and stop twice before venturing out into the world.

My block is filled with basketball hoops, mini-vans, Mercedes and BMW's- of course, none of them are mine. On my block, we all wave- because I wave… and eventually, people wave back.

On my block, there are a few stray cats- but I have never seen a rat- on my block.

My bock is filled with life and happiness, but sometimes sadness plays a visit as a member of our block loses a relative.

My block is filled with immigrants, natives, and soldiers who fought for our block.

Our block is the new America, the way that it should be. Filled with every race, gender, religion, and age living together.

My block is filled with commuters heading to the train and parents taking kids to school. We leave together and return together- a synchronized dance of movement with beauty and grace, and of course, the occasional honk of impatience.

My block should be every block!

Divided America

Now that the election is over, I think that we should all take a deep breath and realize what we learned. America is divided. America is changing. And there are some that are behind the eight ball, and others that have learned to adapt.

The one thing that I love about America is that we have a voice. I have learned that I have to be tolerant to the opposition. Of course all of our views cannot and should not be the same. We were all raised differently, different economic backgrounds, different religions, and different educations.

These differences naturally create a divisive environment. But what I cannot stand is those that want to hate on the majority. The majority voted, the majority did their job. In some states they stood in line for hours, mailed in ballots, and even in the East Coast- they emailed them.

I will not call America a racist country.  Last night our country was reduced to a coloring book. There were only two colors to pick from (not really), but red or blue must have been the easiest to grab. I have lived in a mostly red state; I would have to admit that I did enjoy it. There are some good people in Arizona, and Texas. Homes are cheap, job opportunities are not really dependent on education and the average person can get by with little effort.

Well red states, that is not the case for our friends that grabbed the blue crayon yesterday. Homes are often unattainable, several generations have to live together, and there are no mobile homes, Wal-Mart, Dollar Stores, or NASCAR tracks within a 20 minute drive.

There is nothing wrong with using a red crayon. I do think that a majority of the country could actually use it economically. But when you enter the social aspect of life that is when the blue crayon starts to dominate. Of course some of us like to color outside the lines. It is kind of fun to be different. It is like the kid that sneaks a piece of play dough in his/her mouth and can’t stop eating. Tolerance becomes something that feels good, tastes good, something that should simply be done.

But why are we so divided? I think it is because we often forget what we have. I know there are a lot of people with the red crayon that just hate big brother. I hate big brother too, with his little drones flying over my head, his airport porn screens, and those darn pesky license, and extra tax fees that he hits me with, when I am cornered in the hallway waiting in line to get bullied like my other classmates.

But I know that those kids would drop the red crayon when there is a natural disaster and the FEMA ice cream truck shows up. I am sure they are not going to throw their crayons at him and tell him to leave. But rather sit in line patiently and wait for their snacks and try to rebuild their shacks, and continue shooting anything that is allowed by permit.

I think the blue kids get it. They understand it to an extent. I do not want to give them too much extra credit, but I have to give them some. It is not the red kids economic policies that they disagree with, it is their social policies. And in this world our friends often mean more to us than anything else.

I was raised with a bunch of blue kids.  I have a bunch of friends that are gay. I am glad to see that they can get married in some states and enjoy the same freedoms as I have. I understand that all schools are not the same and that all communities are not gated and safe, and finally it is not an equal world that we live in.

Yes, we have to balance our budget, we have to stop blowing up the kids with no crayons, and we have to rebuild our own roads and bridges. But we have to understand that this country is changing. I do not know if it is because the blue and red kids are not allowed to play with each other, have not taken any vacations besides Disneyland, or if it is just hard to get info inside bubbles.

I will continue to color outside the lines. I am sure that Romney is a great guy. I mean did you see all the kids those two produced, I thought he was the black guy last night. But he lost. The blue guy is not going to take your guns, he is not going to stop killing your favorite people the sand- kids with drones, and he is not going to starve the poor people to death.

But that is what our country is all about- the majority. It is not about the kids that can yell the loudest, scream the most racist bigoted slurs, created the cutest graphics in Photoshop, or find another way to put Big Bird in a post. But a country that is changing and using votes to start a revolution, instead of a musket.

Did we Forget?

Did we forget the reason we left? We left for freedom. The freedom for all, not just for some that believed there was only one way to live. Some have found a path that is right for them, but they should not believe that that path is the only way. There are many paths and many trails- many ways to reach the point of true happiness.

But instead of freedom we often stand for division, we stand for class, we stand to punish those that have made it, and deny those that want to escape the hell that freedom has turned into. The lives that have been lost are often turned into capitalistic holidays, while we all light up the night sky with fireworks and claim independence, in that same sentence we preach hate and discrimination.

It would seem as if this country’s flag is a cross. But it is not. It is a symbol of our independence. It is a symbol of the generations of slaves that built this land, the generations that have fought for this land, the generations that have yet to come and change this land.

Freedom should not be a set of laws based upon old beliefs that deny love, deny opportunity, and are dependent on castes, and classes, economics, and knowledge that separates one another. Man’s history on this planet is dark. We have killed in the name of our Gods, and our beliefs. We have killed for material; we have killed for simple pleasure of killing.

It comes time for us to understand something, a simple fact in America; we are not separate- but one. We are one people under one law that no longer believes in freedom for all, but rather freedom for those that believe that same ideas and rhetoric that has been forced fed over and over again.

Republican, Democrat, Socialism, race, sexuality, and economical status are all tools to destroy, divide and conquer. Divide the people allow for them to fight so that others can remain in power and control. Some of those that often follow religion do not know what they are following. Why? Because they have been taught not to question, but only accept.

Is this right? If society did not question slavery, bigotry, and opportunity, what type of world would we live in today? Because even those these issues, or problems, have been buried beneath the false flag of hope. We continue to judge what actions are correct, we continue to engage in gluttony and greed as our waistlines increase, and our debts become unbearable.

Even those that claim to live the righteous path are caught in the lies and deception of freedom in this country. We should not be bound by ancient stories that guide us to real darkness and control. Because our original creator is a loving and caring being that created a world that gave us life. That gave us a brain, a heart to love, an opportunity to experience, and then wither and return to the earth. But these religions, these political positions, were not created by God- but by man.

These stories to ethical and intelligent minds make no sense. Those that have learned to question authority, and to seek true peace, often find themselves pointing to contradictions in life that cast us further into the darkness. For I am not the original man, I am the second generation of man. I am enlightened by the world around me.  I see the harmony between the earth and the creatures that walk on all fours. I am one with the planet, the wind, and the sea.

When the sea dies, I die.  When the planet dies, I die.  When the sun dies, I die- we all die.  The human race dies. We are all interconnected. If you want to believe in God then believe in all of God.  Think of the blades of grass, the leaves of trees, and the animals that run free in the forest, because we are all God. And we are all beings of God. That chicken or shrimp on your plate is a part of God and not anything else. If you want to experience true enlightenment and true peace, you have to forget all the trash that was produced to control you.

If you want freedom, then accept all freedom- not just freedom for the rich, the religious, or those that believe the same so-called truths that you agree with. Our freedom and relationship with God is one that offers all freedoms, and not freedom restricted or limited to those that believe they are superior or live life the right way.

Privilege from the Right?

Is voting a right or a privilege?  Well, according to Alice Stewart, a Republican Strategist, it is a privilege. Really Alice, so I guess we are in Wonderland right now sipping on sweet tea plotting to stop citizens from voting.

As many of you know, I lived in Texas for several years and I love the state. But when a gun permit can be used to vote and not a student identification card, we have to scream out institutional racism strikes again. According to the numbers, they say that there are 1.4 million people that may not be able to vote in the upcoming election.

This next election is one that is critical to our country. No matter what your stand or party, this next election will show us several things. The first thing it will show is where we stand on race. Have we really overcome our racial barriers and are we moving forward. To be brutally honest, the president is nothing more than a puppet that is controlled by the corporations, and others that we do not know.

But if Obama loses this election I would have to say that it is a victory for those racist in the south, that still do not think that Obama is an American citizen. While his competitor can develop a health plan that is similar to the one that our current president has developed with the help of the health care industry, to the conservatives this is there guy.

How is voting connected to this election? Well if there are 1.4 million people that are not allowed to vote in Texas, then the popular election will be effected, which is a driving force of the Electoral College.  Then we can really be looking at our first one term African American President, and I am sure that we may never see a minority in this position again in my lifetime.

Now, who are these 1.4 million people that will not be able to vote? Well l I guess they are the only 1.4 million people in Texas that do not own a gun. Of course we know who they are. They are the voiceless citizens of our country. The citizens that are punished for being poor, old, ignorant, and often the laws that are created do not help their position, but rather reinforce their demise of poverty.

Many people that are in poverty vote for the Republicans and their conservative views even though these laws harm them. Why? Because they are tricked, like many citizens of our country, to believe that the Republican Party is the establishment for white people like the Democratic Party is the establishment for minorities and poor and hippie white folk.

But the strangest part about what is being played out in Texas is that in Texas an illegal immigrant can obtain a driving license as long as they have proof of insurance. That is correct- an illegal immigrant can obtain a license and then vote? I hope not, because if that is the case then wouldn't that be voter fraud?

Voter fraud is hilarious because shortly after America has experienced their first African American President, the conservatives started looking for any way to stop him from gaining a second term. What happened to the argument that they had to support Bush and his second term? Their classic excuse that in a time of war it would be dangerous to change presidents. Last time I checked we were still in a war.

Voting is not a privilege; it is a “RIGHT”. It is sad that illegals get laws passed that will help them in Texas, but American citizens often get shafted. To deny college identification but accepted gun permits to vote is a joke.

They say they will not turn anyone away from voting if you return with your identification within six days. For some people this is another hassle within itself. These individuals may need to find another ride to fix the problem. After their vote is cast it will simply not count because they will feel frustrated and not return.

All legal citizens of our country should have the right to vote. It is not a privilege, but a right that was granted to all. Those in power always figure a way to hold down the poor. Even by not allowing a person that has done there time and has a felony to vote is a part of the scam to silent poor white and black people of our society. Voter fraud is the biggest scam that the conservatives can come up with this election cycle to stack the cards in their favor.

How can we live in a country that sends people off to die, only to return in a casket draped with a flag for freedom, but at the same time deny citizens their right to vote?

The Real War in America

The real war in America is happening right in front of our eyes in Chicago. In just one weekend there were 8 killed and 40-plus wounded. This was here on American soil. While most of the media was covering the return of Zombies supposedly connected to bath-salts, the black community in Chicago was engaged in war.

When the temperatures start to rise, there is an increase in violence in most black communities. It would suggest that someone has spiked the Kool-Aid packages sold in the corner markets. Or that there was some type of government experiment to thin the heard.

The usual excuses always seem to be the ones that are discussed by experts- the same experts that return to their suburban homes and enjoy their fresh squeezed lemonades and glasses of wine on their patios. Then there are the constant chants of “there is nothing to do” and that a larger police presents would somehow decrease the violence.

These excuses hold some truth, but they fail to address the issue. Violence is a natural behavior and once this behavior is accepted by a community and not channeled properly there is only destruction on said community.

The relationship between the black community and police, no matter what race or creed, is one that lacks trust and respect. Neither the police nor the black community seems to respect or understand one another and this division is fatal. The police represent the system. A system that has denied the black community the opportunity to gain liberty and live in happiness, all due to political and social economic barriers.

But the black community brings their own ammunition to this war as well. Shotgun shells are lyrics that blast from the speaker and penetrate the listener. The uniform of pants sagging to the ground showing of their latest underoo purchase, and the need for father-figures often creates youth that do not stand a chance.

This alone should be a case for an increase in Gay Adoptions, to support our own country instead of forcing individuals to depend on adoption agencies overseas. The lack of parental direction, financial opportunities, and failing education, has created a hell-storm that is impossible to escape.

I often equate the action of hunters in the wild killing a deer and placing it above the fireplace as the same activities that are happening in Chicago. Some may say that this is a stretch, but the action of wanting and needing to kill anything has to be connected to the same part of the brain. And for those trapped in the black community the only thing they can kill is each other.  There is no outlet for this human behavior that is reinforced by the music, the loss of an identity, and the need for acceptance.

Many communities have escaped some of these social ills, but the truth is also that not too many cultures have been put under the same strain as the African American community. Many communities still hold on to their cultural beliefs. These beliefs are handing down for generations. And often the only cultural beliefs that African Americans can pass consist of poverty, a white religion, and violence.

Responsibility is and should remain in the hands of the individual. But one must understand that responsibility is a trait that must be learned, and often passed down or taught. As Americans we have a responsibility as well, a responsibility to demand that our educational system in the inner-city gives our youth a proper education that will allow for them to be able to decipher the difference between entertainment and reality which has become so easily blurred.

The individuals in power such as government, education, and entertainment need to take a stand. As these individuals often contribute to the systematic and economic abuse that harms and punishes the black community. This war in Chicago can easily spread to any town in America, and when it does do not say that there were no warnings. Soon there will be nowhere for any of us to escape this war, and we may all be victims taken away from a crime scene as a snippet of the 10’oclock news.

The Denial of America

America is in denial. Every part of her. She once was a beacon of hope. Men and women would rush into her arms for forgiveness, in hope of a new start. The chance to build a relationship, find themselves, and leave the world of pain and hurt that they once roamed. America has flirted with many men. Some men were loyal and faithful; they caressed her and treated her with respect. But other men have broken her down and tore her apart.

She often cannot identify the methods of the abuse. Only those on the outside can whisper in her ear on what cause her ills. Some days it is the verbal abuse and the bashing of her children. Sometimes it is the physical abuse. The slight twist of an arm that leaves a small bruise that is easily hidden. Sometimes it is the neglect or the lack of love from her short lived companionship.

Some men pamper her. They shower her with promises and speak of such things as hope and change. But these men are nothing more than crooks with endless pockets. These individuals that have hidden agendas and hide secretes of their own that they dare not share. They often have affairs with others, and pretend that America is their only love. But the truth is that their only love is not America or her children. They want nothing but status and to control the beacon that America used to shine on the world.

These men fight for her, tooth and nail. They fight to change her, make her better for them, not her. The have beaten her down so far to the ground that she will never stand a chance.

America is in denial. There are no seven steps, no magic pill that can bring America back to life. She is on the verge of depression, suicide- the lonely dark road of self-destruction. There is no caped crusader rushing down from the heavens. There is nothing but laws made by men, and regulation that leaves her with insomnia. Her heart beats faster and faster, and she searches for the answers. She has escaped such ills as slavery, bankruptcy, and a war within. But her soul is breaking, and she is near the end.

These men know what they are doing to her. They often boast about their victories, and conquests. But to these men she is only a mistress. They know that their relationship with her cannot last forever. In order to court her they pull and tug, tug and pull.  They continue to shout their rhetoric as a mating call like animals in the wild.

Some may even run full steam and lock their horns until the last man is standing and the crowd cheers and chants their name. But with a smile America’s fate is sealed. The honeymoon is over there is no chance for a divorce.  Their relationship is set in stone and for this brief moment she must stand the tournament.

Will America ever escape the denial? Will she defend herself and her children? Or will she seek men that treat her the same over and over again. Each time she is handed away she is less of the woman that she was before they took their vows. Will her children ever come of age and become brave? Will they demand to be treated with more respect than their mother? Or will they grow to hate one another?

It seems they will also stand in denial. But America, I beg you to leave him. Better yet, leave them all and start anew. Return to that woman that was loving and caring. Demand that your sons and daughters are brought home. Demand that your children are allowed to grow and prosper.

America, in you I still hold faith. I know that your fate is not sealed in stone. Please stand up and fight. I beg you to escape this world of denial. Leave these controlling men and become free. Your denial is killing you. You are bleeding to death. Please America, before within you there is nothing left.
